The farm has always been a mixed farm with various livestock and growing arable crops. Today we have a sheep on the farm and grow a variety of arable crops including wheat and barley and also grow a variety of grass crops from short-term haylage and hay leys to permanent meadow pastures. The corn crops are harvested to provide grain for feed and straw for bedding. Our grass crops provide haylage and hay for feed purposes.
We aim to provide a wide range of feeding needs and use crop analysis to be able to assist you in giving your animals the best product for their dietary needs and requirements. We believe that your animals should eat well and as much focus should be on their diet as our own.
We control the whole process of growing the crops from sowing the seeds, managing the growing of the crop, harvesting the crop at the optimum time and then storing the product on farm.
We farm using traditional methods that have been used by the various generations but are open to new ideas and do like to put a modern day twist on the traditional approach. We have always made hay and farmed arable crops and have been making haylage for over 25 years. We try and farm as sustainably as possible using natural fertilisers and good grassland management techniques to try and combat weeds and encourage healthy crops. Where necessary we use minimal artificial fertilisers and plant protection products to enable us to grow and produce the best possible crops to pass on to our customers.
Our seed mixes and mixed corn are mixed on farm in small batches so again we control exactly what is going in to your animals feed. Our pre-packed hay and straw is also packed on farm to order so they are straight out of the barn and sent to you (not sitting for months in a warehouse!)
Our Hay and Straw can be supplied in pre-packed bags for small animals or in small or round bales for larger animals.
All of our grains can be supplied whole or rolled and come as standard in a 20kg sack for wheat and barley and 15kg for oats. However we can supply any weight required so please contact with your requirements
